On September 2006, The European Water Forum (EWF) was legally founded as an “A.S.B.L” organization (non-profit making organization) under the Belgian Law.    See EWF bylaws

 

 

Governance and Management

 

The European Water Forum’s organisational structure has been designed to achieve the missions and objectives for which the forum was constituted. Its various governing bodies aim to contribute a wealth of expertises to the mission and management. 

 

The General Assembly.

 

It is composed of the full members and the associate members.  They meet once per year and every other time that is necessary for the good functioning of the association.  See Competences

 

The Administrative Council.

 

The EWF is governed by a voluntary Administrative Council is composed of at least seven and at most thirteen members who are named by the General Assembly.  Their mandate is for five years and is renewable.  See Members & Competences

                                          

The Administrative Council designates a President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer from within its members.

The Industrial and Technical Consultative Council.

The Industrial and Technical Consultative Council is constituted from the adherent and full members of the association, and convenes at least once a year.   See Members & Competences

 

The Daily Management.

The administrative council can delegate the daily management to a director or secretary for which it fixes the tasks and salary. It can also confer all tasks to one or more members of the association of their choice.
